My first memory |
One of my first memories is when I was about 5 in Ukraine, going to school I was afraid of my dad not picking me up on time. |

My saddest memory |
I was six years old and in hospital for an appendix surgery. It did not go too well and there were some complications. I remember my dad sitting next to my bed and bringing me the news that I would need another surgery. He was trying to appear confident but I could see that he was fighting his tears. |

One of my first memories |
I used to love watching the street performers in Washinton Square park when I was a kid. There was this one guy who could ride on one skateboard and then ump over 6 garbage cans and land on another skateboard. |

One of my first memories |
I remember playing doctor. I was always trying to get those little girls to show me what they have. I would cajole and beg and make a game. Boy I wanted to see that! |

One of my first memories |
I am picking my brother from a child care, suddenly he wants to make number 2. We are running back to the childcare and in the same time I hear a song Nadejda (hope). I don't remember if my brother made it to the bathroom. |

One of my first memories |
In a summer camp I climbed a very tall horizontal bar. I even had to jump to reach it. Then I felt someone started pulling my leg, I tried to hold tight but eventually I fell down and broke my arm. I never saw the person who pulled me down. |

One of my happiest memories |
I have a lot of happy memories from my childhood - maybe this would not categorize as happiest - but more like the time when I felt really proud of myself for a first time - It was in the kindergarten - there was some class where the teacher was showing different shaped figures and toys and asking what color are they - I was about age two. She showed a cube- and all the kids were yelling - it's blue - I was saying it's purple and was fighting back and would not change my opinion and my mom later told me that I even made it more specific and said its lavender. Another figure in question was a dog - all the kids said it's "red" - I said it's Bordeaux. I felt so much more advanced than the other kids :) My parents until this day keep fighting who gets the credit for teaching me that stuff - I would say they both deserve it - my dad, who is an artist had this super large color sheet with all the colors and my mom would tell me the color names and since there was multiple reds displayed I was not happy with plain red - that's how learned Bordeaux and burgundy and salmon pink... |

My first memory |
I am seating under New Year tree, I don't remember what I was doing, but I do remember how beautiful the tree was. |
